Bo. 2.32 - 1947 February 24 SAVAGE ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT AT BOSTON G. A. Savage has been elected a vice president of National Lead Co. of Mass, and appointed manager of the Company's Boston Branch. He succeeds R. J. Peters who retired after 27 years of service. Mr. Savage joined the Company in 1933 as a member of the staff of E. W. Blatchford Co. Karl Fischer continues as a vice president at Boston and has been placed in charge of tne branch's pigment sales. He has been appointed a member of the White Lead Sales Committee, succeeding Mr. Peters. HENRICH ADMITTED TO PRACTICE BEFORE HIGHEST COURT J. B. Henrich, assistant secretary of the Company, was admitted on February 3 to practice before the United States Supreme Court. A member of the New York State Bar, Mr. Henrich previously was admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts and the United States Court of Customs and Patent Appeals. He is also a registered patent attorney in both the United States and Canada. OWENS NOW OFFICE MANAGER AT GENERAL OFFICES T. F. Owens, member of the accounting staff at headquaters in New York since 1934, was appointed office manager of the general accounting offices on Feb. 1. CARNEY HONORED ON 55TH SERVICE ANNIVERSARY George B. Carney, manager of the Louisville office of Cincinnati Branch, was guest of honor at a luncheon given by associates January 28 at the Cincinnati club in observance of the 55th anniversary of Mr. Carney's service with the Company. He joined the branch Feb. 1, 1892, about two months after the Company was organized. Mr. Carney received his 55-year service button from H. W. Hundley, branch manager, and congratulatory messages from President Rockwell, Vice President Harold Rowe and Metal Dept. Manager Geatty.' In addition to branch associates, those present included P. B. Sullivan and Phil Gasdorf, Cincinnati veterans now retired, and Messrs. McCarthy, Knust, Peterson, Muccilli, McCue and Curry from New York who were in Cincinnati on business at the time. DIETZ COMPLETES 40 YEARS WITH ATLANTIC H. M. Dietz, manager of the Britannia department of the Perth Amboy plant of Atlantic Branch was honored Feb. 20, at a dinner at Oak Hill Manor, Metuchen, N. J., given by his associates on the occasion of Mr. Dietz' 40th service anniversary. All of his service has been at the Perth Amboy metal plant. The plant staff was headed by E. P. Loud, general superintendent of Atlantic plants and the party from the New York office by C. W. Higley, Pacific Coast Branch representative who covers the Utah and southern Idaho territories, recently completed 25 years of service with the Company. At a Feb. 3 luncheon given Mr. Higley at the St. Julian restaurant in San. Francisco, J. L. Caruth, manager of the Pacific Coast Branch, presented him with a watch and a service button emblematic of 25 years of service.
