Worden - Western Electric Future Meetina October 2, 1930 - Murray Hill, New Jersey - 9:3C a.v Asbestos Exposure Guidelines Mr. Beach reported tnat final comments have been received and incorporated in the draft of Guidelines for Exposure to Airborne Asbestos Fibers distributed at the July meeting. It was agreed that the Guidelines would be transmitted to Operating Company Personnel Vice Presidents in a System Letter as a strong recommendation. Copies of the proposed letter were distributed for discussion and comment. Maxine Condie reported on the progress of efforts to investigate the logistics and potential cost of an employee information package about asbestos. The cost of a film treatment appears to be prohibitively high, even when produced through "in-house" CCTV facilities. It was agreed that the subgroup should continue their efforts, but should concentrate on producing a detailed outline of the material to be included in the information package. This outline would be used to develop a brochure which could be used on a stand-alone basis as the foundation for the employee information program. A proposal for the production of the audiovisual has been received from the Corporate Television Group. Final details of the funding arrangements must be worked out, however, there appears to be no problem with the OHWG funding this project through the Bell Laboratories Case. J.
