Although the editorial policies of Journals vary, the most widely followed procedure in such a.situation isr first, an article appears in a Journal; second, a reader^ of the Journal writes a criticism to the editor, who then sends a copy of the criticism to the author of the ori ginal article; and then, criticism by the critic and the rebuttal by the author together.
