Tinney - ch OFFICE cc: Mr. 0. F. Grieve - Paoll 14*. M. M. Fowers - Akron Monday, September 15> 1958 I was in Foland, Ohio to observe th^application of Light Acoustical on the Union Bank. Henderson & Johnson were the Plastering Contractors. Paul Gilbert the Plastering Foreman is considered the best Acoustical Plaster Applicator in the Youngstown area. The base Acoustical was machine mixed approximately eight minutes using 70 Quarts of water per U0 Found bag. This was applied by. trowel to a thoroughly dry brown coat. It applied very good. This was left until the following day. Tuesday A.H. the base Acoustical had taken up very well. No blisters or drop outs. The finish coat was mixed the same way and was applied to the ceiling. Both the base and this finish were floated immediately. The finish coat was allowed to stand approximately 30 minutes and it was then stippled. This* worked very good, no trouble of any kind*. Tt 2, Wednesday the 17th, the base.Acoustical was applied to another ceiling. The brown coat on this was quite wet. The Acoustical was machine mixed, using 70 quarts of water per bag* This was applied by trowel and allowed to stand until Thursday the 18th. Tlje base Acoustical had not taken up as much as the first ceiling due to the base being wet, however they did not have any trouble applying the finish coat and it was stinpled immediately. The Coverage was approximately 10 Sq. Yds. per bag. 4* The applicators were very satisfied the way our material worked. They claimed it works better than Hushcoat or Killnoise Acoustical Flaster. Mr. Henderson also was well pleased with the way our material worked and with the finished appearance of it. Mr. J. C.
