Mr. Jerane F. Smith Secretary Lead Industries Association, Inc. 292 Madiscn Avenue New York, New York
Dear Mr. Smith:
We have arrived at a cost of $900.00 to make the narration changes in the film "Lead Poisoning-The Hidden Epidemic" that you requested at our meeting July 25.
The narration change that Dr.'s Harrison and Cole have agreeded to, will require re-writing paragraph six in the present narration to elimin ate the reference made to lead content in the auto exhausts that your Association feels is misleading.
In order to make the requested change, we must discard the present sound tracks (original, dupes and masters). We would like to point out the steps involved in making the narration change:
1. Ke-narrate the new paragraph using the sane narrator and recording studio.
2. Edit the new sections into the original voice track.
3. Transfer and reassemble the original music and effects tracks (eight in all).
4. Mix all the elements at a second recording session to develop a combined master track for reproduction.
5. Fran the master mixed track make; l-16irm negative Awind track, l-16mn B-wind negative track, l-16nm mixed magnetic track and one 1/4" safety master.
We agree that we will not make any further prints of the present version until you have made your decision on the revised version. In addition, we further agree that we will use the new version for all future orders.
