The Committee reviewed open items from of September 29 as follows:
Item 9-1(79)
Recommend investigating noise level of PRy test stand in Machine Shop.
Disposition: Item being worked.
Item 12-1(79)
Investigate Boilermaker Shop for potential fumes and dust problems. Disposition: Under investigation.
Item 7-1 Item 8-1 Item 10-2
Investigate potential fumes when handling and mixing chromate at #2 Cooling Tower. Disposition: Liquid chromate handling facilities being installed.
The Union Committee members requested a copy of the findings of the Texaco hygiene team'that visited the plant * the week of July 28th. Disposition: Under investigation.
Investigate the possibility of purchasing disposable coveralls for insulators removing asbestos insulation. Disposition: Under investigation.
Item 10-3 Item 10-4
#1 Cooling Tower grating and bolts on handrail deteriorated. Disposition*. Under investigation.
Investigate hard hat life span. Disposition: Safety Gram to be issued outlining several do and don-'ts regarding hard hat care and replacement. Item closed.
