As dump started, "A" operator, Charlie Little, reported hearing a rumble and the MSA unit came on. The vapor release alarm was sounded immediately. Charlie Little put on a Scott Air Pack to investicate. He could find nothing wrong. The large reactor Honeywell monitoring unit has a 10 reading under D-500, the next was 9.7 then 2 was the next. Other areas had no significant readings. No one was exposed to VCM. D-400 and D-600 were reacting. D-300 was being swirled. No valves were open in the VCM system.
