The "wash tank" where parts are washed in the Machine Shop still appears to be a serious hazard and is being reviewed in the current study underway for the entire shop. The committee generally felt that if all equipment and valves brought to the shop were thorough ly decontaminated, thus being free from product, there would be no problem. The answer may be then, that equipment coming to the shop should be decontaminated and a permit attached there to so stating. 2. Follow up with Tom Riedmuller and A. J. Stroud as to the present status of some type of cut-off device or load limit device on NEW 1. Pipe should be re located within the rack, since there is space in the rack for the line, and this would eliminate the hazard. At the West Gate parking lot some people are still using the exit for an entrance, and this is going to create a major catastrophe for some innocent person. Added or different type signs are needed. Many of the construction rigs do not even slow down, much less stop for stop signs in our plant. Monsanto is renting and using more and more of the hydro blasting equipment. This rented equipment does not meet Monsanto standards, which creates a serious hazard to Monsanto employees.
