The math error on the original result of 98,000mg/kg was corrected to give a result of 392,000 mg/kg. A rerun of sample #2 gave results of 690,000mg/kg and 260,000 mg/kg, which is consistent with what PACE labs got on this sample. 1 SULTONE FOAMER *SURFACTANTS - MBAS 16000 MG/KG 2 FC-95 _..,-----___.... **SQUCR-FCHAECTCAKNTS - MBAS 730000 MG/KG COMPLETE 3 QC-CHECK S-1412 *SURFACTANTS - MBAS * = CONTRACT LAB 60000 MG/KG SUBMITTED BY: DATED: 8-DB-fj9 1 BACK TO MAIN .. - 662 CROMWELL AVENUE Sr PAUL, MN 55114 PHONE 61216453601 JUL. 141989 PROJECT: REPORTED REFORT OF: CEEHICAL S U R F A C T m ANALYSIS TO: 3 M Environmental Laboratory Attn: Mr. Wade Scheil Building 2-E P.O. Please note the calculation error on sample 61828-2 has been revised. A one gram portion of each sample was diluted to 100 mL with deionized water followed by series dilutions to .obtain absorbances on the spectrophotometer standard curve. Sample 61828-2 was analyzed in duplicate and the results were 4 1 0 , 0 0 0 mg/kg and 3 8 1 , 0 0 0 mg/kg. Sample G1828-3 was spiked and the spike recovery was 107%. Two standards of 0.5 mg/L and 1 . 0 0 mg/L were analyzed with the sample batch. The recoveries were 50.3% and 9 5 . 6 % , respectively. The second testing was completed on July 2 0 , 1 9 8 9 . The results were: S a m l e ID G1828-1 Gl828-2 G1828-3 SurfactanG 1 0,000 730,000 48 ,000 A 0 . 1 gram portion of each sample was diluted to 100 m L with deionized water followed by series dilutions to obtain absorbances on the spectrophotometer standard curve. Sample G1828-2 was analyzed in duplicate and the results were 6 9 0 , 0 0 0 mg/kg and 7 6 0 , 0 0 0 mg/kg. Sample G1818-2 was also spiked and the spike recovery was 7 4 % . Two standards were analyzed with the sample batch. The recoveries were 64% and 85%, respectively.
