Chartl r We have advance Information that the TLV for vinyl chloride ex posure has been set at 10 ppm time weighted average, and 25 ppm celling for five years. After the five year period, the limita tions will be 1 ppm time weighted average, and 5 ppm ceiling. The new standard will be published In the Federal Register, October 5, 1974, or sooner. We were not able to determine If the new standard becomes effective on that date, or if we will have some specified period of time In which to comply. It would be well to give attention in your company to this list in order that the next time the Task Force convenes on the subject of vinyl chloride we may consider whether or not any action is indicated by any of us as to any of these substances. We cannot make any definitive statements on the results of these tests until the histopathological reading has been completed and statistical analysis of the data are finished.
