Fred E. Strickland has filed an application in the San Francisco office of the California Industrial Accident Commission alleging he suffered an aggravation of a pre existing tubercular condition while in the employ of various defendants including yourself.
The application alleges that he was employed by you sometime in.1952, from March, 1955 to November 1955 and from December, 1956 through July, 1957
We were your Workmen's Compensation carrier from January 1, 1944 to January 1, 1952 at your South Gate plant at 5037 Patata Street.

You are correct in your understanding that since January 1, 1952 we have not been insured with your company, end we have notified our present carrier of this possible claim.
According to copy of employment record attached to Notice of Hearing, Mr. Strickland Laima to have worked for Armstrong Cork Company during the period 1948 to 1952 end again for periods in 1955, 1956 and 1957* For your information our records show that following termination of his employment in June, 1952 Mr. Strickland worked for Armstrong Cork Company from March
to November in 1955 end from Daember, 1956 to early September, 1957. Tom will be interested to know that from April, 1958 through July 6, 1958 (our last payroll record report) Mr. Strickland has been working for Armstrong Contracting and Supply Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Armstrong Cork Company which was formed Jantiary 1, 1958 to carry on contract operations formerly conducted by Armstrong Cork Company.
Ve have checked our records and list below all the information we are able to give you on Hr. Strickland*e employment prior to January 1 , 1 9 5 2 . In accordance with our Retention of Records Schedule all payroll records prior to 1950 have been destroyed, and contract files are kept for only seven years following completion of contract.
