1. Because of the many varying factors and practices in effect at plant locations, no fixed requirements on membership of P.V.& L. laboratory personnel in Technical Societies and Trade Associations can be stated.
2. Each new incident of Company-supported membership or contribution to Technical Societies or Trade Associations involving P.V.& L. laboratory personnel, will be sent to the Technical Director for review and decision.
3. Any person of P.V.& L. laboratories' staff is encouraged to join, at his own expense, any Technical Society or Trade Association he chooses, particularly the American Chemical Society. Paragraphs 1 and 2 above govern action only for Company-supported (in whole or in part) memberships.
