Schedules and Control a) Mr. Bremer will separate out the tank farm design and construction as a separate schedule Expected Completion 12/8/67 Mr. Bremer will also develop a new schedule on the manufacturing area based on the recent review of PD and Spec Sheets by Messrs. Yates and Fullgraf - Expected Completion 12/31/67 b) Based on the MP Schedule of November 9, 1967, Mr. Clifton would like to have the pile drawings by January 8, 1968, and the foundation cap drawings by January 22, 1968. c) Tank farm piping drawings should be sent to the field by February 5, 1968. This will give him four weeks lead time before tanks are delivered. d) Electrical tank farm, lighting tank farm and instrumen tation tank farm drawings should be issued at least four weeks before construction start in the field. An insulation schedule will be prepared by Mr. Fullgraf. f) The extensions to the railroad will be sent out for a package bid. The rail contractor will purchase the required rail. Jim Clifton may be able to supply the rail if required. g) Messrs. Clifton and Burkett pointed out the advantage to construction of putting the tank farm into a separate cost accounting area from the manufacturing area. According to the MP Schedule, the tank farm should be complete by 7/1/68, the manufacturing area by 12/1/68. Mr. Yates has requested the estimating group to develop a new code of accounts which will put the tank farm into Area 1 and the manufacturing area into Area 2 - Expected Completion 12/11/67 2. Drafting a) Mr. Jackson keeps a drafting status log. As of November 27, 1967, he has estimated 106 drawings of which 12 have been completed. Work is being done in all drafting areas. b) Finished models are being made for both the tank farm area and the manufacturing area. Piping will be placed directly on the finished model of the manufacturing area without going through the preliminary piping phase. Mr. Clifton states that the finished models should be complete when the piping drawings are issued to the field to gain their greatest value. c) Mr. Fullgraf will forward to Mr. Clifton copies of the "Drawing Status Report." Expected Completion 12/4/67 d) Mr. Dygert states that the feeder relocations and installations will be handled by Photodrafting. Mr. Clifton stated he could start in this area as soon as the drawings are issued. Feeder cable can be obtained from surplus supply at Decatur or WGK. 3. AC&M and EI&U Design a) Tank farm area design is complete. 01297*7 TOWOLDMONOQ45160 Minutes of Project Meeting 3 December 7, 1967 b) Manufacturing area design is proceeding at a rapid pace; however, this should be brought up on a new schedule as soon as possible. c) Aluminum pipe will be traced with #5050 Aluminum tracing (1/2" 0J3. X .049 wall) . The plant has used both brass and^'sTs'!} fittings successfully on this tubing. Mr. Heilman is checking further into the type of fitting we should use. d) Soil test reports are at hand and have been reviewed by Mr. Atkins. Pile layouts have been designed for all the storage tanks, vie will compare the cost of a pile foundation for the biphenyl storage tank against excavation. This evaluation is now complete and shows the pile foundation to be the cheaper by $3,300. Mr. Atkins and Mr. Jackson will try to get the pile and foundation drawing for the tank farm area com plete by 1/8/68. Mr. Yates will calculate equipment weights so he can proceed on the pile design for the manufacturing area. Mr. Fullgraf will assist. e) Storage tanks and manufacturing area should be grounded to protect against electrical hazards. 4. Miscellaneous a) Mr. Bremer should check to see if we have any problems with piping and valve delivery for the tank farm area. Expected Completion 12/8/67 b) Mr. Yates will determine problems associated with in strument check-out and calibration. c) Mr. Yates will determine safety shower location by consulting with Mr. Ray. Atkins will follow this.
