Smith From the attached list of 8 hour samplings taken at Trexlertown our operations appear clean. Mo areas are seen to fall into the regulated category. A third series of tubes has been taken but have not yet been analyzed. We plan to continue sampling period ically to provide.a sufficient data log for our people and lab oratories. With the placement of the VCM storage outside of our building we will be in an even better position to avoid problems with OSHA compliance. CHWtmf Attachment 1320) AP00021145 4 November 1974 Monthly Report (C. H. Worinan) 1. The results of the first series of personnel sampling were received from Or. Zubyk. The actual weight of VCM on the charcoal adsorbent is shown in the attached letter from J. H. Terrell as Table I, Calculating 8 hour TO values gives the following results: - 8 Hour TWA - PPM a. Lab 151 area sample 10/29/74 .003 b. Raymond Walters personnel sample 10/30/74 .046 c. Lab 151 area samples 10/31/74 `.017 oo . -4 d. Raymond Walters personnel sample 11/1/74 e. Stephen Stocker personnel sample 11/6/74 : .225 .297 These values were obtained under normal operating conditions. Seventeen additional tubes are at Linwood for analysis. These cover the remaining personnel and areas possibly exposed to VCM. All areas and personnel were sampled at least twice and at more than o-aay intervals to comply with GSHA. No problem areas were seen In the initial batch of results. 2. Two series of experiments were conducted to determine solid vapor, equilibrium of VCM in PVC at Z3C and 76"C under varying levels of moisture and VCM content. . *...
