Sweeney - 19D File The February, 1985 HCN Complex Unit/Craft Safety Meeting was held on February 28 at 0800 hours in the HCN Complex Conference Room. Present were the following: A. H. Micheletti J. Norris A. Urbani G. Ware The January, 1985 safety meeting minutes were reviewed. 1) HCN Storage Reduction The action plan from the LPR was discussed. This action plan was given to G. Ware for review and per haps more discussion at our next meeting. 2) HCN Emergency Drills All members of this group feel that good, meaningful drills are very important and will work to achieve this goal. 3) HCN Storage Area Traffic Concerns The plant Safety Engineer will provide us with some one to help resolve this problem. This person should be present at our next meeting. NEW CONCERNS 1) Calcium Hypochlorite (HTH) Storage s' Due to dismantling of Dept. 19, this storage cabinet must be moved. The group decided it should be located due west of the complex Maintenance Shop at present. SC t236l LAM013555 2- - Additional storage space is planned for the complex following completion of the dismantling job. 2) Complex Sewer Drains A concern about how the existing drains will be covered following completion of the Dept. 19 dis mantling was voiced. The Chairman will discuss this concern with our unit engineer. 3) Caustic Line To 25V2-152 Movements The group feels this is caused by the sudden closing of the caustic charge valves. They recommend that a slow bleed "off" orifice be installed to hopefully solve this problem. 4) Safety Shower Valve Handles We have requested that three of our Unit/Craft members study this problem. Hopefully, they can find some vendor who makes a complete valve, handle and switch assembly that is compatible with our system. We will continue to address this concern. 5) 25 K1 Vent Line Drain Pipe A MWO was turned in to lower the drain pipe closer to grade, thus reducing risk of material splashing on operating personnel.
