V have not tested this particular resin la our toxicological laboratories bat vo have tested sense other very similar polyvinyl acetate resins by patch tasting on bona subjects to determine possible sensitising properties vith resultant skin effect, toe of these polyvinyl acetate resins whan patch tested an humans gavs only a trace reaction on 2 out of 33 subjects; another gave none whatever. For practical purposes most of the resins themselves which ve manufacture could be considered physiologically Inert because of their Insolubility In bo^F tissues and fluids. The naterlals which would have toxicological significance would be the additives to the resins to make np different resin formulations* for Instance the solvents in which some are dissolved* or the plasticisers or stabilisers which may be added to the resin. Vonld think therefore that perhaps the more practical approach to the problea of the toxicity of the resin formulations would be a consideration of the toxicity of those materials which may be added to the resins themselves to sake up the formulation.
