The fact is that I've been swamped, and until the past few days have been so pressed by immediately urgent matters that I've had to push bach everything that was not demanding attention. I assume from your recent telephone call that you wish to visit us at some early date to discuss the matters referred to in your letters, and therefore I shall not attempt to reply here. I think it will be necessary to consider carefully what you plan to do from here cn. I have on my desk for study the results of our animal experiments on the absorption of lead out of Vitane through the skin of rabbits. I hope to be able to tabulate these and to report on them soon. Thether or not this is done, wo shall have to consider the 6 c.c. problem in_the light of the results obtained on the more dilute mierial. i suggest the second week in May, with the exception of Friday and Saturday, Hay 12 and 15, when I shall be engaged in a meeting here, as a convenient time for your* visit, unfortunately, I shall be in Chicago during tho week of April 25, and in Washington most of the week of M a y 1.
