As I mentioned, the Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award is a joint effort of the Governor, Lt. Governor, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, and Iowa Department of Natural Resources to recognize the exemplary voluntary efforts of Iowa's farmers as environmental leaders committed to healthy soils and improved water quality. Approximately 70 farm families will be recognized. Details: August 15th at the Iowa State Fair starting at 10:00 am with lunch to follow It is also worth noting that EPA Region 7 generally participates. We'd love for Secretary Wheeler to join!
