That is we would not expect normal values to be in excess of 0,, 2 parts per million. Sample 6 (duplicate analysis) was definitely contami nated with lead, and ip. our opinion would be unsuitable for use. Samples 1 through 4 would not be unsatisfactory for use, while samples 5 and 6, although unsatisfactory, would not be highly dangerous for making bread or pastry for limited use over a fairly short period of tim On the whole, these findings confirm our opinion, expressed repeatedly over the years, that food materials should not be stored in tanks that have been used for the storage of leaded gasoline until after such tanks had been cleaned by sand-blasting.
