Hi Jim,
Thank you so much for this invitation and being patient as we look at the calendar. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to make this event work with his schedule that day. I understand that you would likely not want us to send a surrogate as a featured speaker, but if you would like us to send someone from EPA to attend and mingle with your members, I'd be happy to send to a few folks who are involved with ESA Modernization.
Thank you again for extending the invitation and I apologize that we can't make this work. I hope the event is a success!

Tate, We had the opportunity to hear Administrator Pruitt speak yesterday at the NASDA conference and were very happy to learn about the recent Memorandum of Agreement between EPA, and the Departments of Interior and Commerce regarding the establishment of a working group to improve the ESA consultation process for pesticide registration. As you may know, two of NPMA's biggest issues are ESA Modernization and Cooperative Federalism with regard to the regulation of pesticides. On March 20th, approximately 400 NPMA members (pest management business owners and executives) from across the country will be on Capitol Hill visiting with members of Congress to advocate for these issues. One of the features of our Legislative Day activities is the "NPMA Headquarters on the Hill" where our members can stop in for a bite of lunch between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. We always like to have a featured speaker during the event (last year it was Senator Rubio), and in light of Administrator Pruitt's announcement of the MOA yesterday, we wanted to extend an invitation for him to deliver some brief comments to our members during the event.
I wanted to reach out to you first, what is the best channel to deliver this invitation?
Thanks in advance, Jim
