Please- excuse the delay in v;-riling this .letter and sending of the PCb samples which were promised at the July 11 , 1973 meeting. Our analytical group has undergone a major change of positions. Norman bornstein has moved from Analytical Services to another position in the company, lie is being replaced by Mr. l^cRoy Pike, who will carry on his functions in AS'J'M and as chairman of this committee. Now that everyone has adapted to Ills new position and the work is going smoothly, we will continue with our commitment to the development of a method of analysis of PCb. We are shipping eight (30 ml .samples) under separate cover to be analysed for PCb content as outlined at the July 11 , 1973 meeting. The only changes that were decided on at the meeting were the injection temperature was to he dropped from 3?5C to ?23C, the detector tempera ture would be kept between 300C and 323C, and the column temperature at 200C or whatever temperature gave the most, efficient, temperature. The laboratories who had glass columns (Monsanto, Mu Pont, and General Foods) were also going to run the samples with these columns. The results should still be reported to me at CRYOVAC.
