Moseley of the Boston Division Y*rites as fol lows: "On Thursday evening, I was in receipt of a call from Mike Stein, Automotive Engineers for Tide Water in New England. This gentleman stated that a ifriend of his, a doctor, has been giving treatment to one of his patients who has been engaged in the cleaning of petroleum storage tanks including those which have previously contained leaded gasoline. This physician was of the opinion that the physical disturbance, which this man in dicates, is probably caused by either lead fumes or gasoline fumes and was anxious to secure information regarding the symp toms which a patient might show from having been affected by the above." "I was very frank in stating to Mr. Stein that I had no knowledge of what the symptoms might be as, any case which comes to my attention which could be caused from organic or in organic lead compounds, is immediately communicated to our Medical Department at the lettering laboratory of Applied Physiology, Uni versity of Cincinnati. I suggested to Mike Stein that if the doctor in question had any doubts that he could communicate with our tedical,Department direct, or if he would get in touch with our Boston Office, we would be only too pleased to make this contact for him and that he should follow the above routine if there was any question in his mind that the symptoms as indicated might be caused be metallic poisoning. As yet, we have received no communication from this gentleman."
