Dear Dr* Mahert I am sending you herewith the analytical results obtained on your patient, Soi3:lS over her record and examining the malytTcs^Wifftts, I think it is fair to say that her complaints may veil be due to excessive lead absorption. I vould not expect a severe lead intoxication at this level, but it is not unusual to find mild symptoms in the case of persons with a lead concentration in the blood of the order of magnitude shown here. It is true that the urinary lead concen tration in this instance is not very high. This may or may not have been a dilute sample, but in any case, the blood level is significantly increased, and is within the range that is compatible with saturnine symptoms. I feel very apologetic about the points on the needles. They are always inspected carefully, and they are supposed to be touched up if there is the slightest need for it. It seems likely that they have not been packed in such a way as to pre vent movement in transit, and they have probably been jammed for this reason.
