Washington, D.C. 20002 Dear Mr. Jacobson: I understand from Dr. Benjamin Felson at the University of Cincinnati that the DuPont Corporation has produced a movie on asbestosis. Since this is one of the asbestos-related occupational diseases with which the Asbestos Compensation Coalition is concerned, we would be Interested in obtaining a copy of the film to l_o to edu cate our members and other interested people. The Asbestos Compensation Coalition, a non-profit educational organization, represents a number of asbestos companies who are concerned about the problems of compensating workers who develop asbestos-related occupational disease. The ACC has been working with the Asbestos Workers' Union to support a legislative solution to the current situation of drawn-out suits that benefit only a few of the claimants. In the interest of equity, the state workers' compensation statutes governing asbestos-related occupational diseases should be revised to a uniform standard. To thi-s end, the Asbestos Health Hazards Com pensation Act was introduced in the 97th Congress on September 18th.
