Bergeron, Hemminghaus, Hohoway i`uwCTi RECENT FEDERAL REGULATIONS OX ASBESTOS FIBERS Today Mr. Bergeron called and informed me that an inspector on a project using Panelstone asked to learn why we were not properly identifying our Panelstone. He stated that it was a federal regulation that any material containing 5% or more ' asbestos fibers must be identified with a label cautioning the user that this material contains asbestos fibers and may cause serious bodily harm. I called Dave Lucy of Johns-Manville to see if he had any knowledge of this new regulation. He in formed me that he had heard about it within the last two weeks but he has not seen any official document. I am enclosing a 8" x 11" caution bulletin that was sent to us by J/M which might serve as a form notice to be put with each pallet of material being shipped. Dave -asked me to send a copy-of this caution bulletin to him to be submitted to their Legal Department to see if this is acceptable for J/M`s use.
