When a news service is giving information out with regard to civil law suits, I think you have an obligation to be a little more careful of your facts. You stated, for in stance, that "test results on laboratory animals has proven that asbestos causes cancer". I am very closely involved in the asbestos industry and to my knowledge there have been no tests results on any labo ratory animals which have any indication of carcinoma as a result of asbestos exposure. If you have information to the contrary, I would appreciate your letting me know of your source. The United States government has commissioned a number of studies on test animals with regard to ingestion of asbestos fibers all of which have been negative. I know of no other test animal reports which have been brought to the attention of us in the industry.
