I spoke with George Best of MCA on July 18. He was tremendously pleased with the reception NIOSH gave the MCA committee on July 17. Dr. Marcus Key (head of NIOSH) was in attendance and no problems were encountered during the meeting. NIOSH asked to be kept fully appraised of the on-going work both the U.S. and European Industries have in progress. The MCA team consisted of George Best (MCA), Dr. W. E. Rinehart (Ethyl), Dr. V. K. Rowe (Dow), R. N. Wheeler (Union Carbide), Dr. D. P. Duffield (ICI and spokesman for the European group) and Dr. T. Garlanda (Montedison).
