All, Barry Perryman at UNR is a friend of mine of about 4 years now. He's advocating late season grazing as a cheat grass/rangeland fuels management tool. Apparently BLM doesn't normally recognize cheat grass as forage, so cattle aren't used as a tool to control cheat grass. More cows means less cheat grass means lower intensity fires means more sage grouse. Let me know if you'd like to meet with Barry. Thanks, Scott
