Teams have been formed and the inspection will be held as scheduled. Conrad related that G. L. Tromblee requested that he be brought up to date on the noise protection program. Hammann will bring G. L. Tromblee up to date. Status of the STOP program was discussed. SHAC feels that the STOP program has been a success and has been a positive influence on the plant safety record. SHAC recommends that cards should continue to be used for at least another year but that the quota system should f be liberalized and quotas should be used at the discretion of the appropriate manager. Conrad stated that Paul Bailey was the new SHAC chairman and that the other members of the 1984 SHAC are being finalized. It was aqreed that Baca will carry forward the contractor safety program. Conrad discussed the other items that are being carried forward. A combined 1983 and 1984 SHAC meeting will be held on January 25, 1984. Paul Bailey will find a site. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last most of the day. Old Business Methanol, Acetic, 513 and Phthalic are the only units that have not had their labs inspected by the TCSC. Pictures and publicity (Plant News) for the annual housekeeping inspec tion were lost and thus delayed. The publicity via the Plant News will be finally completed next week. New Business Howe suggested that we review the adequacy of HCN drills and how other plant groups should be affected. SHAC recommends that a simulated HCN spill be included in a plant drill during 1984.
