The Slot for a meeting with 3M will be short 45 min max. 11.30-12.15. The BCR open session is a meeting of BE authorities with the BE stakeholders ( IND representatives ( individuals or associations) -NGO-trade union-...) where our stakeholders can present / discuss with the authorities on a dossier. The meeting start at 10 am but you can arrive later only for your agenda point. There are fixed members for the BCR ( please refer to the website the names are public ) we'll have also experts participating from the authorities ( regions or federal interested by the topics) . And if no confidential info should be disclosed to the authorities all the other stakeholders can also participate to the topic.
Could you please inform me if a confidential 'open session ' is needed or a 'open session' is ok for Dr.

Unfortunately my experts and members representing the BE-authorities for REACH are only available on the 12/12 AM ( open stakeholders REACH BCR session -- OPEN meeting of the authorities in charge of the REACH implementation in BE). Please let me know if a meeting on 12 Dec. AM is an option for 3M ( after 11.00 ).
Otherwise, my colleague
( in CC) can maybe organize a meeting with the PFAS scientific experts of the
Belgian authorities at another moment.

I am contacting you as 3M's Chief Medical Officer, Dr.
will be visiting Europe early December. He is
coming to attend the BelTox conference on the 7th December. As we are on the verge of an intense year of EU
regulatory action on PFAS, I was wondering whether you would be interested in a meeting with Dr. Oyebode? I
would like to propose a one hour meeting in your offices to present and discuss our understanding of where the
health science on different PFASs stands and to enable an efficient short deep dive on this complex topic. If the
meeting could take place either on the 6th, or on the 8th or 9th December, that would be the most suitable for his
schedule.
3M is supportive of a REACH restriction which recognizes the vital role of modern PFASs across several sectors critical for the EU's strategic autonomy and which is based on sound science (including risk assessment). At 3M, we have spent decades studying PFAS compounds and promoting the state of scientific knowledge about their effects on people and the environment. One of the most recent research studies was published last month in the scientific journal Environment International. The study examined the antibody response to COVID-19 vaccines among our workers with a wide range of exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. The study shows statistically insignificant reduction in antibody response and no association with COVID-19 disease.
