I am afraid that we do not endorse the practice of providing milk to workers as a means of preventing lead poisoning. It is time that over the years this practice has been cocraon. There appears, however, to be no scientific basis for the practice and in our opinion, it is unwise to encourage employees to practice preventive measures which are unproductive. I am enclosing a copy of the booklet FACTS ABOUT LEAD AND INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE In which the dally ration of milk is tharacterlzed as a fallacy. Also enclosed, for your information, is a copy of the Kehoe chapter in Patty INDUSTRIAL LEAD POISONING. On another matter, UA will be holding a session at Trail, B.C., on July 18*19, to discuss occupational health matters relating to lead. You will be receiving an Invitation soon.
