Dear Paul:
Enclosed la a copy of the report made by Liberty Mutual of our Tllo Company's plant. The report points up a timber of potentially serious industrial hazards In their operation, which should be corrected. It has beenDr. Irby and my understanding that the Tilo operation was to be considered a separate entity and not to be handled as one of our regular medical responsi bilities.
The hazards mentioned in Dr. Donaldson's report are of sufficient urgency that he would suggest that you reevaluate our status with Tilo; and, if you would like for us to assist you in implementing a program there, we will be glad to do so.
We were all distressed over Bill Beasley's death. Re did have a rather severe rheumatic heart disease and valvular disease producing s chronic heart failure, which he had had for some time. Be was under the care of competent cardiologists here in Richmond and Z am sure he knew of tho seriousness of his condition. I do not feel that the limited activity of supervising the yard work had any causal relationship to his sudden: death, and It probably would have occurred under any circumstance.
Z ea glad your sister can bo with you over the holidays and be sure and tell her we will be glad to help her any way we can when she returns.
Sincerely,
Jamas M. MacMillan, M. D. Medleal Director
