Dear Many thanks, interesting topics. We will check and will let you know. Best regards, Marius From: Date: 2020 April 24, Friday 13:01:52 To: "VASCEGA Marius (CAB-SINKEVICIUS)" <Marius.VASCEGA@ec.europa.eu> Subject: Would your Commissioner have any time on 14 May ? Dear Marius, I hope you are well. Is there any chance your Commissioner might have 40 minutes to talk online with the CEOs of Europe's main wind energy companies on 14 May ? They are meeting regularly now to coordinate the wind industry's response to the crisis. They had an online meeting this week with EVP Timmermans and Commissioner Simson. They are meeting online all day on Thursday 14 May and would greatly welcome the opportunity to talk to Mr Sinkevicius. Issues they would wish to discuss are: - environmental aspects of permitting new wind farms (onshore and offshore); - EU Biodiversity Strategy; - maritime spatial planning; - offshore wind and fishing; and - circular economy: recycling of old wind turbines. It would be the renewables CEOs of the leading power utilities (e.g. Enel, Iberdrola, RWE, Vattenfall, EDF) and the CEOs of the wind turbine manufacturers (e.g. Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, GE).
