Utilizing precisely controlled
infrared heat, the bonding
mastic is gendy softened" until
the tile can be easily removed
and packaged by the operator.
The softened mastic can then
be scraped and removed with a
putty knife.
r
The Tilelift method has been
carefully monitored ' by
Independent
hygienists,
consultants and' air monitoring
teams. Test results performed
by all*PCM and TEM were
below the quantitative limits of
detection.
Many State agencies are
recognizing that infrared heat
removal of asbestos-containing
floor tiles is the safest method
and should be the only method
used when abatement Is
necessary.
Features indude:
Light weight (90 lbs.), responsive and simple to operate with
minima] operator training
Precision digital read-out maintains precise temperature settings for
optimum performance
Automatic power shut down if operator leaves machine unattended
Dual wafer wheel design permits true tracking without picking up Ule
mastic
Vertical steering tower and low profile afford operator full view of the
work area
Patented infrared heating panels operate on 240 volts 50 amps with
densities up to 20 watts per square inch
Sensors monitor i.nfrarea heeOng panels to maintain precise
temperature setting
Air nitration cf smoke or fumes is provided via a purification process
which Includes a water and sodium bicarbonate solution, charcoa.

GUARDIAN CHEMICALS
GUARDIAN asbestos cocapsulants
represent a new era in asbestos encap sulation. While most encapsulunts were formulated for other uses, all Guardian pioducis were created spe cifically for the asbestos abatement market. Exact needs and specifica tions plus personal safety were incor porated into cadi formula. In de -`ving
the chemistry for these products CH.SI specified that cncli product should be nou-toxic, non-flammable and easy to use. Available in 5-gallon pails or 55-gallon drums.
GUARDIAN BRIDGING ENCAPSULANT is n unique sealant that was specifically formulated to seal all asbes tos materials. It provides * tough elastic surface that is flame resistant to 2000 F. This product may be used for encipsulaling pipe coverings, structural steel, boilers, sprayed on insulation and most other asbestos containing surfaces. Al though this product can be used on hot surfaces, the surface should not be over 212 0 F wlien applied since die product is a w&ier-based polymer. If applied lo holler surfaces the water will be boiled out of the product before drying. Guard ian Bridging encapsulanc can be sprayed (widi an airless sprayer) or bruslied on any surface. If insulation is thick and likely to separate from the weight of this encapsulant. Guardian Penetrating Encapsulanl should t>c usod as a base to adhere all fibers to Uvrir sutvserate Stock No. 030666 5 gallon pail
GUARDIAN PENETRATING EN CAPSULANT is a unique penetrating sealant formulated to provide deep pene tration and outstanding adhesion to all asbestos materials as well as to the sur face under the asbestos. This product penetrates insulation and totally encap sulates asbestos fibers while providing flame rctardance lo 2000 0 F. Provides an ideal base for Guardian Bridging Encapsulant which can be used when a tough nuAce ie u-<d<d. Applic-l`-v- rlwilH lv with an airless sprayer. Can be used as a soil encapsutanl in crawl spaces under buildings; however, a trial should be conducted to determine coverage and suitability to specific soil type. Stock No. 030667 - 5 gallon pail
GUARDIAN POST REMOVAL ENCAPSULANT was formulated specifi cally to lock duwn residual asbestos fi bers after the removal process by adher ing fibers to the surface (walls, ceiling, pipes, etc.). Guardian Post Removal Encapsulant is UL Classified- for use with Types RG and RG1 cementitious mixtures manufactured by Zonolite Cons. Products Div. of W.R.Grace & Co. at application rates not less than 1000 ft-'/gal. when applied to beams, columns and floor or roof-ceiling assem blies consisting of all fluted steel floor or form units. The main hose was secured air-tight to chc DOI' generator and connected to the vacuum.
We then turned the vacuum on and with o li:hc ..nuicivc photometer rc,.-mrd..d leas than .011 POP downstream through the filto, ho*,.* rnnnnctlonb, and top seal. At 10 psi (150 mg/L) of D0P challenge.

APPLICATION: CABLE COATING 22P -- PENETRATING ENCAPSULANT
A. Comply with governing requirements of safety regulations pertaining to the proper procedures and standards established for the encapsulation of asbestos containing materials.
B. Carefully hand pick all loose or hanging Insulation material from the substrate prior to spray operations. Place all removed material Into sealed bags end property dispose of same. Repair substrate as needed.
C. CABLE COATING 22P shall be sprayed by airless spray equipment as recommended In two coats.
0, Apply CABLE COATING 22P to affeded surface area until saturation (dripping) occurs. Some surfaces may require light misting prior to first coat to break surface tension.
E. Allow to set a minimum of 4 hours, preferablyovernight
F. Apply second coat of CABLE COATING 22P to treated
surface until saturation (dripping) occurs. Curing time approximately 3 to 7 days should painting be required.
When applying CABLE COATING 22P as a penetrating encapsulenl. use a low presaure.ee(ting on spray equipment to avoid undue misting. Keep spray gun as dose to the affeded substrate as possible, without disturbing the asbestos material, so as to avoid undue misting.
