S. and Canada to be manufactured as needed, when present stocks are depleted. New colors will be phased into the line as they are formulated. The Laboratory estimates that formulas will be available for all items by January 1, 1970. IDENTIFICATION The new formulas will be packaged only under the newly designed P&L label. Colors which have been retained will have a change in code letter for further identification. USE A fast drying enamel for exterior and interior use, including floors and marine applications. Provides good protection against weather and water as well as resistance to fumes and grease. Free from lead pigments - safe for children's toys. Note: Flat Black, Flat White, and Metallics are not suitable for floors. They can be used for incidental marine topsides but not for hulls or marine bottoms. N15457 Pratt & Lambert-Inc. Brushes easily at package consistency. If thinning is necessary, add a little Exode Reducer For spraying, thin each gallon with one pint of Exode Reducer. * NOTE: Use only Duosol for cleaning equipment and for thinning Effecto No. 25 Zinc Chromate Primer. The new colors will have an appearance similar to those retained. LEVELING HIDING ELASTICITY MIXING BAKING SPREADING RATE: U. S. Gal. Can. Gal. Good Fair to good, depending on color Good Effecto White Flat can be tinted for primer use by adding one pint of finish coat color or one half pint of Multipurpose Tinting Color per gallon. Colors can be intermixed but intermixes are suitable for interior use only. 1 Hour @ 200F. Apply in thin coats to avoid wrinkling. Colors and Black Flat 800 sq. ft./gal. White Flat and Metallics 600 sq. ft./gal. Colors and Black Flat 960 q. ft./gal. White Flat and Metallics 720 sq. ft./gal. TOXICITY Effecto Enamel is free from lead pigments and, therefore, can be used on toys, furniture, or areas that might be chewed by children. We have not stated "lead-free" because of the possibility of trace amounts of lead present as a pigment contaminant or as a drier. Effecto No. 25 Zinc Chromate does not contain lead pigment, but does contain lead drier. Zinc Chromate pigment is considered to be toxic. Effecto No. 25 Zinc Chromate Primer should not be recommended as a primer on surfaces which might be chewed by children or where food handling is contemplated.
