First of all, in reviewing our sales figures I do find sales of asbestos from both Tampa and our former Hallandale branch during the period 1974 until we dropped the line earlier this year. On June 18,1979 we announced to our branches that we would no longer be a stocking distributor of asbestos products and began immediately to dispose of our inventories in our various warehouse locations. In regard to the claim that Sandy has I would like to know the specific account so that we might check our records to see if we can verify sales to that company as far back as we can determine from our stored records. From the content of Tom's letter it appears that Johns Manville is the producer of mentioned and as indicated to her we do not represent Johns Manville but Carey-Canadian Mines, limited, Quebec,Canada. The following are in answer to Tom's questions: #1 . We sold several grades only from Carey-Canadian and their literature is attached for reference. #2 . The only old correspondence we can find regarding a formal .. _ agreement, with.Carey-Canadian is-a letter dated March 4,1960 which we are appointed their distributor with some exceptions. Our sales have dropped off rapidly since 1977 and please note in the following figures that direct sales are shipments made from the pro ducer to our customer and all we do is handle the invoicing.
