Color Weigh Compounder 68.8* mic^ogram Lead/m Employee overexposed while doing his routine job of color weigh-up. No specific cause for the overexposure has been identified. The two lead materials handled were Epistatic 112 and Cyastab 988. Line I Compounder 139.1* mi^rogram Lead/m Employee overexposed while charging Epistatic 112 into blends of 34431 Natural on Line I. * Respiratory protection was worn. ** Respiratory protection was not worn. A report on the deficiencies found, along with the associated, corrective measures, will be issued during October. Area Ventilation Checks The third quarter check of lab and compound ventilation hood velocities and flow rates was completed. The results were reported to the two departments for correction of the deficiencies found. Material Safety Data Sheets Material Safety Data Sheets for compound were copied and issued to the Compound Operations Supervisor. Three copies of each Material Safety Data Sheet for the Vinyl Department were issued to the Vinyl Operations Supervisor.
