H-23005: STATIC, ACUTE 48-HOUR SCREENING TEST TO Daphnia magna, CONTINUED
RESULTS
-
Based on visual observations, the water control solution and the 0.5,1.0,50, and 500 mg/L test solutions all were clear with no color. The 5000 mg/L test solution was cloudy yellow-white. After 24 and 48 hours undesolved test substance was found at the bottom of all test vessels of 500 and 5000 mg/L test solutions. Immobilities were 0 ,0 ,0 , 0,70, and 100% in the 0,0.5,1.0,50,500 and 5000 mg/L, respectively. The 48-hour EC50, based on nominal concentrations and immobility, was between 50 and 500 mg/L. All water quality parameters were within acceptable
limits except the pH of 5000 mg/L was low.
CONCLUSIONS '
*
H-23005 exhibited slight toxicity in a 48-hour, unaerated, static acute test using Daphnia magna.
