There were no vehicle accidents or injuries during the month. Aberdeen Transport reached1 3 million miles on 12/18/82. All above terminals worked 1981 without a responsible accident or an injury, this is a record we all can be proud of.

Aberdeen Rail
1. No derailments during the month.
2. Work progressing on construction of new storage track parallel to Monroe lead.
3. Alabama Division very interested in reducing number of rail cars in the plant and on the monroe lead. They have offered the use of the Prairie passing track as temporiary inbound storage of empty hopper cars. This has been into effect and will relieve congestion at the plant. We will call for these as needed and is covered under rail road convience.
4. The ICG has offered to revise the VCM tariff to include the new west VCM storage track as a part of the monroe lead. This will allow all VCM arrivals, to be placed on west No.2 upon arrival, then spotted at unload ing racks without a switching charge.
5. The Frisco (BN) bridge over the waterway complete except for laying of the track.
El Dorado Transport
1. Operations above normal.
2. Another excellant safety performance during 1981. This is now 11.5 years W/0 accident or injury.
3. Will install automatic shut-down device in January.
Mobile Transport 1. Operations below normal. Kayo pump prices appearto be the cause.
2. Another excellant safety performance during 1981. This is now almost two years W/0 accident or injury.
3. Installed automatic shut-down device this month at Aberdeen shop. Our thanks to D. Moses for his help.

Safety
The safety meeting for the month of December, 1981 was held at the Prairie terminal. Topics discussed with all drivers were speeding, logs, and tachs.
Aberdeen Terminal 432 hit 3 million mils on December 18, 1981. Also, with only one accident the terminal would have been at 6% million miles. The last occupational injury was 3% years ago.
