Tyroler is a ferrous scrap handler that accepts items from the general public. Accepted items include window A/C units, refrigerators (appliances). To be accepted, these appliances must have intact refrigerant lines. Tyroler also accepts vehicles from two separate towing companies. It was estimated that overall 2-3 vehicles and/or appliances are accepted on a weekly basis. Tyroler does the recovery of refrigerants from both the vehicles and the appliances; then it sends the refrigerants to Rapid Recovery on a yearly basis. TOUR INFORMATION EPA toured the facility: Yes Data Collected and Observations: EPA saw the refrigerant recovery equipment and Mr. Cogler's certification.
