..The Palo Alto Junior Women's
Club carried off Northern Cali
fornia honors in this year's Pen
ny Art Fund contest, the mem bers have just learned. They captured third place in the state in the annual money-raising drive which furnishes funds to buy.. paintings from California artists which are in turn pre sented to clubs whose activities have been outstanding in the field of art.
The club held its annual in stallation of officers and potluck dinner at the home of Mrs. William L. Smith last week, Mrs. Clement Arnold, senior advisor, conducted the candle lighting ceremony. Guest of honor was the new president of the Wom en's Club of Palo Alto, Mrs.
10:30, when the seniors receive their diplomas. Both ceremonies will be held in the school chapel,
as will the annual Class Day ex ercises on Monday at 10 a.m.
Speakers on tomorrow's pro gram will be three of the gradu
ates, Adela Jungermann, Jean Dinkelspiel, and Meredith Walk er, all of Palo Alto. The junior school chorus will sing the prayer from Hansel and Gretel. and four
