The press obtained information from the Medical Research Council on investigations that are going on in the field of atmospheric pollution. At this College we have been examining air solids from the point of view of their chemical nature and have recorded a number of elements present in the ash of air solids. Lead is, of course, one of them. The organic constituents have also been examined and some interesting findings have emerged. The report you mention is, like most newspaper reports, grossly incomplete and could be misleading to readers.
