Dear 5.1.2e Just to follow-up to my previous email, thank you for granting AmCham EU a spot in the discussion on Monday 22 February . I had previously understood we were on the waiting list but I now see that our participation is confirmed -- thank you very much for that. 5.1.2e looks forward to receiving the dial-in details and an agenda for the session. In the meantime I remain at your disposal for questions. Best regards, MOM

5.1.2e
Thank you for your interest in de thinking session on essential use. Some weeks ago, I had an email exchange with 5.1.2e on this
indicating there are very limited amount of participants. But I promised to put

is the possibility for one person from AmCham to participate in the meeting of Monday 22 February. Can you indicate who will attend?

As soon as possible, you will receive the information about how to attend, including the login details, from De Argumentenfabriek.

Subject: AmCham EU's interest in joining 'Essential Use' thinking sessions
Dear RIVM PFAS restriction team, I am contacting you on behalf of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) to enquire regarding
the opportunity for AmCham EU to join the thinking sessions set up by the RIVM in the course of this month to consult
stakeholders on the 'Essential use' concept in the framework of EU chemicals policy.
AmCham EU represents American companies invested in Europe, with a focus on the EU Single Market and competitiveness. Our
Environment committee brings together a wealth of expertise from companies operating across different sectors and the supply-
chain, from chemicals' producers to downstream users. As you may be aware, our members have been among the most active
stakeholders on EU Chemical policy and REACH. We are the most active trade association in Brussels when it comes to the concept
of 'essential use', for which we already published a position paper in July (attached) that we hope will help inform your discussion
moving forward. We feel that our horizontal, cross-sectoral expertise could provide an in depth perspective of industry's views on the 'essential use'
concept and would be pleased to take part in the thinking sessions to bring such perspective to the table.
We look forward to your response and to further engagement with you on this important topic.
Kind Regards, 5 1 2e
