This list will be used to disseminate information to plant personnel concerning changes or updates on respirator approval. It will, also, allow us to distribute any alerts or information from manufacturers, NIOSH, or OSHA concerning possible defects in respirators (e.g. the self-contained breathing apparatus' cylinders and valves). Finally, the information will aid in the development of training programs required by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. In order to develop this list, please indicate what types of respirators are currently being used at your facility, as well as the volume used within the past year (1984), If you do not use any respirators, please note and return this request.
