To record, analyze and file the results as a means for controlling VCM levels well below the QSHA standard. Plan: , ii bH j The plant will be broken into areas of study in which each job classifica tion will be monitored to include all probable operations which would subject, an employee to VCM... All classifications within the areas will be monitored weekly until the time that the area shows a 3 week history of less than OSHA standard. When a 3 week "Clean History" is attained that area will then be monitored once per month unless a high level is recorded. At the time a high level is noticed the area will be monitored again on a weekly schedule until a "Clean History" (3 weeks less than standard) is developed. * Method: , VCM collection with a charcoal impinger at 1.5 liter/minute for 2 to 4 hour period depending on job activity. Analysis of the recovered gas with a GC to produce VCM in ppm. Monitoring will be conducted while an employee is in the area of concern and unprotected (i.e. Reactor people will not be monitored while they leave the area for a break. Employees will not be monitored while wearing an air mask). Data: ' <T All results will be determined by GC in the Aberdeen Analytical Lab and reviewed by Dr. F. J. Scott. He will relay the data to safety director. Bob Freele, who will maintain a filing record as outlined and in accordance with OSHA regulations. * ** * Data taken will relate the employee's name, area worked in, job classifi cation, sample period, sample date, and analytical^results.
