REGEHR VERNON WORKS PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT AL-327 I RE: VISIT BY VERNON HEALTH DEPARTMENT On January 12, 1962, Messrs. Hilton and Eougen of the Vernon Health Department visited the Pattern Shop to inspect facilities for sawing Marinite. They made the following recommendations: I 'I' 1. That an exhaust system similar to the one in the enclosed drawing be used to increase duct velocity. 2. That an exhaust system be placed over the top of the table i to exhaust particles carried around by the band saw blade and those scattered by the sawing. 3. That better sealing be made around the exhaust system. 4. That the ducting system be reviewed to eliminate sharp curves and branch ducts that Join the main ducts at right angles. 5. That brushes be installed on the saws to remove Marinite adhering to the band saw blade. Mr. Hilton stated that the exhaust systems on the other l two band saws were quite good.
