As I mentioned, I was working with Ms. Leila Getto in the Secretary's office in the hopes of scheduling a meeting next week with Secretary Zinke for executives from several forest products companies with manufacturing facilities in Western Oregon. Given the uncertainty with the Secretary's schedule I advised them that the meeting was unlikely to occur next week and not to make the trip back to Washington, D.C. I will still be in DC next week with a couple staff members from the American Forest Resource Council (AFRC) and was hoping to schedule a meeting with Associate Deputy Secretary Jim Cason and Assistant Deputy Secretary Todd Willens to discuss the management of federal forests in the Pacific Northwest, particularly the BLM O&C lands in Western Oregon. We are available on Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7 and would appreciate an opportunity for a short meeting with Mr. Cason and Mr. Willens.
