MINUTES OF MEETING Date: February 16, 1983 Time: 8:30 A. M. Location: Office of Bill Freeze Those Present: Robert Hartley Bill Brewer Bill Freeze Linville Estep Ted Craft Jim Burgess Jim Teer Dana Ashcraft D. L. Langhorne Subject: Low Production of Insulators Armco has complained about the poor production of McGraw Insulators ($37.00 per lineal foot - .66 LF/Hour). Several problems were listed: a. Armco Supervision interfering with placement of men. b. Starting a job then moving off and coming back later (lost time). c. Too much talk with Journeymen by Armco Supervision (Re: Foreman). d. Material not being delivered on time. e. Foreman not keeping track of job production, or reasons for lack of production (material, job sequence, etc.). f. Keeping men on job who are not producing. Armco has threatened to remove all Insulators from job if production does not increase. They will do the job with their own men. Bob Hartley and the Foreman are going to meet with the men and explain the reason for Armco complaints. Armco workers are trying to get the work and if we want to stay on the job we are going to have to increase production, therefore, reduce the cost of placing the insulation per lineal foot. Bill Freeze will talk to Armco Supervision concerning problems caused by various job actions over which Armco has control. DLL:kb McQCon 9098
