It se e m s to m e that the m issin g link until now has been a veh icle to d irect, co rrela te, and coordinate the r esea rch efforts of those looking for the solution to this com m on problem . The Southern C alifornia A ir P ollution Foundation is se t up to do ju st th is. Maybe you could continue to do your work at the U niversity of Cincinnati but do it through the Southern C alifornia A ir P ollution Foundation. Maybe E thyl and the Union Oil Com pany, for exam p le, a re both undertaking r e se a r c h on exactly the sam e subject. Maybe by d irectin g the Southern C alifornia A ir P ollution Foundation to do the job for us we could get it done for half as m uch and tw ice a s good. T here a re undoubtedly sev e r a l w ays that you can help, and probably a ll of them without in creasin g your budget. A sim ple w ay, of co u rse, would be to have an open door betw een D r.
