DEPENDING ON THE RESPONSE FROM CAUSTIC YOU MAY NEED TO PUT A STRIPPER ON RECYCLE TO GIVE THEM TIME TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. If your tank levels allow you to put a stripper on recycle then do so. Low pH from the adjustment tanks could lead to a failure of the Equalization tanks and piping! DO NOT ALLOW A LOW PH CONDITION TO LAST FOR MORE THAN 30 MINS. 4. IF PROBLEM IS NOT CORRECTED QUICKLY ENOUGH DO NOT ALLOW A LOW PH CONDITION TO EXIST FOR MORE THAN 30 MINS. AT THAT POINT CALL EC/HCL LEAD OPERATOR (PHONE 2687) AND ASK HIM TO OPEN THE CELL LIQUOR VALVE JUST EAST OF THE EC COOLING TOWER. NOTIFY THE DERIVATIVES SHIFT SUPERVISOR ABOUT THE SITUATION. 5.
